3ds Max Biped to Unity
This free, 15-minute, hi-res (950x700) video tutorial demonstrates the process of taking Biped-based characters from 3ds Max into the Unity 3D game engine, including how to setup and control the character in the engine. Please note there are two versions of this tutorial out there - a low-res, 8 minute version and this version, which is the one you will probably want to watch instead.
3ds Max Bones to Unity
This tutorial is finally finished! Sorry for the delay. This tutorial covers how to import bones-based characters into the Unity engine. The most important thing is that you are using FBX2009 as you FBX export plug-in. This video is 800x600 so it will be easier to see the menu selections, etc. The spider model and the 90-minute video tutorial on how to model and rig the spider are also available as a free download through the end of this year (2010) as long as you own the book Creating Game Art for 3D Engines (the book contains passwords to access the downloads page).
Coming: Make a box fly in Unity
Just another planned Unity tutorial. This one will show you how to bring in a simple object from Max and make it fly around like a hovercraft. This tutorial should be available by early spring so check back then.
