Modeling a Chair in 3ds Max
This is one of my older videos that was never posted to YouTube until now – but it’s still useful! I’ve found that box modeling, the technique I use here, is usually faster and works better than other methods, especially if the object qualifies as a “hard surface” model. Having an existing model or at least an image of what you want to model definitely helps – in this case we start with a finished chair in the scene so you can see where we’re going, the logic of the approach.
